Ashley Pugh is an accomplished communication professional with extensive experience in content development and external affairs. Since May 2019, Ashley has served as the Director of Communication & External Affairs at the Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle, following their role as Content Development Manager. Prior to this, Ashley worked at the Get Schooled Foundation as Assistant Manager of Digital Content from September 2016 to May 2019. Ashley also gained valuable experience as a Multimedia Specialist at North Carolina Central University, where duties included producing visual media projects, managing social media platforms, and composing press releases. Ashley holds a Master of Arts in Interactive Media from Elon University and a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication with a focus on Public Relations from North Carolina Central University.

The Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle (ULMS) is an affiliate of the National Urban League. We have an 80-year history of providing community-based services to African Americans and other disadvantaged people throughout Seattle and King County. Our mission statement is: Through public advocacy, providing services and developing strong business and community partnerships, the Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle will strive to empower, enable and assist African-Americans, other people of color and disadvantaged individuals in becoming self-sufficient. We accomplish our mission by providing educational support, housing and financial counseling, employment resources, and services to minority-owned small businesses.
