Joseph Isaksen

Joseph Isaksen is the Senior Vice President of Finance at Urban One. Joseph has over fifteen years of experience in finance and accounting.

Joseph started their career at Verizon Business Markets in January 2002 as the Director of Network Cost Accounting. In this role, they were responsible for accounting, variance analysis, and reporting of monthly domestic access costs. Joseph also developed and implemented policies and procedures related to bankruptcy and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. In addition, they provided support for external audits and tax preparation, as well as 10K and 10Q reporting. Joseph managed a staff of 26 people in this role.

In December 2006, Joseph left Verizon to join Urban One as the Senior Vice President of Finance. In this role, they are responsible for all financial aspects of the company, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Joseph also manages the company's investment portfolio and provides guidance on capital expenditure decisions. Joseph has been instrumental in helping Urban One navigate through the COVID-19 pandemic and continue to grow and be profitable despite the challenges faced by the pandemic.

Joseph Isaksen has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from University of Maryland Global Campus.
