Cem Uyanik

Cem Uyanik is currently the CEO & Co-Founder of Urban Ray since March 2021. They are also a Community Member at 2hearts, where they contribute to building a diverse tech society. Prior to these roles, Cem Uyanik completed a Master Thesis at Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology IPT from May 2020 to December 2020. They then worked as an Intern at Lufthansa Technik from October 2019 to March 2020, where they supported the Aircraft Production Inspection Program (APIP). Before that, Cem Uyanik co-founded ambeRoad, a startup focused on Business Intelligence, from August 2017 to February 2020. They also worked as a Student Research Assistant at the Institute of Structural Mechanics and Lightweight Design (SLA) @ RWTH Aachen University from May 2018 to September 2019, supporting various projects. Cem Uyanik gained experience as an Intern at W. Strothmann GmbH from October 2017 to January 2018 and as a Student Assistant at Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology IPT from April 2017 to September 2017. Their earliest work experience was as a Team Member in a Research Project at the Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering (WZL) of RWTH Aachen University from May 2016 to February 2017, where they collaborated on a project and completed a project thesis on intelligent thermal balancing systems for injection molds.

Cem Uyanik holds a Master of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from RWTH Aachen University, which they obtained from 2018-2020. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same university, completing their undergraduate studies from 2013-2018. Additionally, Cem has obtained certifications such as "YC | Startup School | 2022" from Y Combinator, which was achieved in January 2022, and "Nova Talent" from Nova, received in July 2021.
