Urban Rural Action
Joseph Bubman is the Founder and Executive Director of Urban Rural Action, a position held since September 2017. Prior to this, Joseph served as a Senior Affiliate Trainer on Negotiation and Influence and as a (Senior) Negotiation and Relationship Management Consultant at Vantage Partners from June 2007 until September 2024. In addition, Joseph contributed to academia as an Adjunct Lecturer at Georgetown University, co-teaching the "Environmental Action Workshop" course. Previous roles include Technical Lead, Acting Director of Peace and Conflict, and Senior Peace and Conflict Advisor at Mercy Corps, as well as co-founding Company Connector. Joseph’s educational background includes a Master’s degree in International Relations with a focus on Conflict Management from The Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies of The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and History from Northwestern University.
