Crista Carlile

Crista Carlile has over 10 years of experience in education. Crista began their career as a Science Teacher at Ankeny High School in 2001 and later became a Science Curriculum Coordinator at Des Moines Public Schools. From 2010 to 2011, they served as a School Improvement Leader at East High School in Des Moines. Crista then took on the role of Administrator - Central Academy at Des Moines Public Schools, where they were responsible for overseeing 35 teachers and over 1,000 students. Since 2014, Crista has been working as the Director of Teaching & Learning at Urbandale Community School District.

Crista Carlile's education history includes a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree in Educational Leadership from Drake University, which they earned between 2013 and 2018. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Educational Leadership from Viterbo University, from 2002 to 2004. Their undergraduate education was completed at Kansas State University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biology between 1994 and 1998.
