Patrick Beekman

Patrick Beekman is a data engineer who currently works for UrbanFootprint. Prior to this, they worked for wellio from December 2019 to April 2021. Patrick's role at wellio was data engineer, and they were responsible for supporting grocery fulfillment by designing and implementing distributed ETL pipelines for importing grocery items from multiple providers, increasing autocomplete search usage in our app by analyzing and comparing new data sources for the searchable index, leading implementation efforts for their team to provide monitoring and alerting for all of our backend services, and enabling shopping in our app by designing and implementing a serverless shopping service to authenticate users and add in-stock grocery items to their cart.

Patrick Beekman has a Master's degree in Computer Science from Appalachian State University, a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Appalachian State University, and an Associate's degree in Computer Science from Wake Technical Community College. Patrick also attended Apex High School.
