Elizabeth Hernandez began their work experience in 1993 as a Student Services Coordinator at International Business College (IBC). Elizabeth worked in this role until 2004. In 2005, they transitioned to a role as an Assistant Service Manager at Rusty's Weigh Scales and Service for the duration of that year. Alongside this role, they also worked as a Supervisor at New Mexico Junior College from 2005 to 2008. In 2009, Elizabeth Hernandez joined URENCO USA, where they initially worked as an Administrative Assistant IV until 2014. From 2014 onwards, they took on the role of Project Scheduler for a $3.9 billion uranium enrichment construction project. In this role, they were responsible for monitoring and updating the project schedule, coordinating with various stakeholders, and overseeing project progress and performance reporting.

Elizabeth Hernandez attended New Mexico Junior College from 2014 to 2015, where they studied Business Administration and Management, General. Prior to that, from 1992 to 1993, they attended International Business College in Texas, where they studied as a Legal Assistant.
