URGE: Unite for Reproductive & Gender Equity
Hope Jackson is an experienced advocate and organizational leader in the fields of reproductive and gender equity as well as LGBTQ rights. Currently serving as the Deputy Director of Programs and Policy at URGE: Unite for Reproductive & Gender Equity since October 2021, Hope previously held various roles at the Human Rights Campaign from 2015 to 2021, including Deputy National Campaign Director. In this capacity, Hope developed an organization-wide legislative boot camp aimed at enhancing advocacy skills and managing a 22-state regional team to combat anti-LGBTQ legislation. Hope's earlier positions included Associate Regional Field Director, Senior Regional Field Organizer, and Regional Field Organizer, where significant contributions were made to strategic campaign plans for legislative efforts and electoral initiatives, notably those leading to the historic passage of the Equality Act. Hope holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of Arkansas and a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from Albany State University.
