Wendy Knafla has extensive experience in marketing and management roles. Wendy is currently serving as the Marketing Director at UrgentVet since June 2021. Previously, Wendy worked as a Marketing Supervisor at St. Luke's Cataract & Laser Institute from April 2015 to April 2020. Wendy was responsible for digital and offline marketing, budgeting, creative development, website maintenance, event planning, and SEO. Additionally, they generated over 1,000 online reviews and organized community events to enhance brand awareness. Before that, Wendy served as a Local Search & Online Reputation Specialist at Mediagistic, where they directed online reputation and review management, social media platforms, local search, and site optimization. Wendy also developed and implemented internet marketing campaigns and optimized Google Maps pages. Prior to that, Wendy held the position of Marketing Manager at KelbyOne, where they directed live book launches, authored monthly newsletters, and participated in national expos. Wendy also served as the Director of Training - Online Admissions at the International Academy of Design and Technology, Sr. Marketing Manager at Rasmussen College, and Professional Trainer at St. Cloud Business College - Training Services Division. Throughout their career, Wendy demonstrated excellent skills in budgeting, creative development, media management, direct mail, event planning, and referral program development. Wendy has also worked with executive teams on accreditation projects and inspections.

UrgentVet is a whole new breed of pet clinic --- providing prompt, attentive care on a more convenient schedule. Until now, if a pet was sick or injured outside of regular office hours, owners had two choices: pay a premium price at an emergency vet or wait for an appointment with their regular vet. UrgentVet was created to fill the gap between these choices by offering a more affordable and more convenient alternative. We provide prompt care for cases that aren't serious enough for an emergency vet, but are too pressing to wait for a scheduled appointment. UrgentVet offers after-hours treatment for common pet illnesses and injuries --- just like an urgent care center for people. We are open 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekends, when traditional veterinary hospitals are closed. We provide immediate relief for dogs and cats with ailments such as post-operative incision complications, minor wounds, ear infections, mild vomiting and diarrhea, and numerous urgent but non-life threatening conditions. When a pet is sick or injured, owners simply drop in --- no appointment necessary! UrgentVet costs less than the emergency vet and there's no need to miss work to see the regular vet the next business day. We accept referrals from other veterinarians, and we will provide owners and referring vets with clear and concise discharge instructions. Remember, your pet can't wait to feel better!
