Brent Jones is the Immediate Past President at URISA. Brent has previously served as the Past President at GITA, Global Manager at Cadastre/Land Records at Esri, and Vice President at AM/FM/GIS Services at J. W. Sewall Company.

Brent has been highly involved in the geospatial community, carrying out a number of domestic and international educational activities. These include the Networks geospatial newsletter, Geospatial Infrastructure Solutions Conference, GIS for Oil and Gas Conference, Geospatial Dimensions of Emergency Response Symposium, Geospatial Technology Report, Building a Business Case for Geospatial Information Technology: A Practitioner’s Guide to Financial Strategic Analysis, National Geospatial Initiative for Critical Infrastructure Protection (NGI-4-CIP) and Geospatial Enabling Community Collaboration (GECCo).

Brent’s experience and dedication to the geospatial community make him an excellent president of URISA. Under their leadership, URISA will continue to be a leading voice in bringing innovative solutions to complex problems.

Brent Jones received a Bachelor of Science in Surveying Engineering from the University of Maine.
