Michael Matthews is a seasoned medical professional with experience as a Medical Assistant at Urology Specialists of the Carolinas since April 2019, where responsibilities include obtaining patient history, taking vitals, and communicating patient needs to providers. Prior experience includes a Research Intern position at OrthoCarolina, where tasks involved obtaining patient history, reviewing X-Ray and MRI images, and contributing to a research project on gluteus medius tears. Additionally, Michael served as a Research Intern at Rees Skillern Cancer Institute, focusing on cancer genetics and facilitating communication about genetic testing results. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Davidson College, completed in 2019.
