Wenqi (Olivia) Shan is currently the Chief Operating Officer at The World in Us, where they focus on fostering global citizenship and cultural awareness through youth programs. They are also a Research Assistant at the iSchool at Illinois, designing Natural Language Processing pipelines to analyze corporate documents. Previously, Wenqi participated in Girls Who Code, gaining valuable STEM skills and building data projects. They serve on the Leadership Council of URounded, improving organizational online presence and project management efforts, and have worked as a Teaching Assistant with America Reads*America Counts to enhance literacy and numeracy among diverse learners. Wenqi holds a Regents Advanced Diploma with Mastery in Math from Francis Lewis High School and is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Information Sciences and Data Science at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
