Shigeyuki Nishinaka

Shigeyuki Nishinaka, Ph.D. has served as a member of the board of directors since December 2019. Dr. Nishinaka joined Sumitomo Dainippon Pharma in 2009 and currently serves as Executive Officer, Global Business Development, International Business Management. Sumitomo Dainippon Pharma is a leading global Japanese pharmaceutical company with leading prescription drugs in the United States and other markets and has more than 6,000 employees worldwide. Dr. Nishinaka has more than 25 years of experience in drug development, drug commercialization, and mergers and acquisitions and has served in several leadership roles at Sumitomo Dainippon Pharma and Daiichi Sankyo. Dr. Nishinaka also serves on the board of directors of Meltin MMI, a medical technology company focused on the research and development, and commercialization of medical devices and avatar robots. Dr. Nishinaka earned his Ph.D. from Hiroshima University, where he also completed a master’s course in Biosphere Science.
