Ainsley McCallister Wierda has a long and varied work experience. Ainsley began their career in 2010 as a Student Ambassador and Division I Athlete at the University of Michigan. In 2012, they became a Member of the Leadership Team at Athletes in Action, and in 2013 they co-founded and became President of Athletes for Community Transformation. In 2015, they became a Global Field Hockey Athlete, playing for teams in England, Holland, Australia, and the Australian Hockey League. In 2017, they became the CEO & Founder of Urū Sports, a venture-backed, early-stage sports technology startup, as well as the Co-Host of The Global Game and Founder of the Pro Athlete Marketplace. In 2019, they became a Founder in the 25th Cohort at Blackbox. In 2022, they became a Comcast NBCUniversal SportsTech Program for Uru Sports and a Next Play Capital Fellow.

Ainsley McCallister Wierda obtained a Bachelor of Movement Science from the University of Michigan between 2010 and 2014. In 2019, they completed a Certificate of Financial Acumen for Non-Financial Managers from Wharton Online. In May 2022, they were awarded a Next Play Capital Venture Fellow certification from Next Play Capital.
