Zimmim Ahmed has extensive work experience in the aviation industry. Zimmim began their career as a Co-Pilot with Regent Airways in November 2012, where they flew the Dash-8 aircraft until August 2015. Zimmim then became a Co-Pilot for the B737NG at Regent Airways from August 2015 to March 2018. After that, they were promoted to Captain of the B737NG at Regent Airways from March 2018 to March 2019. Following their time at Regent Airways, Zimmim joined T'way Air as a Captain for the B737NG from April 2019 to July 2021. Currently, they hold the position of Fleet Chief-B737 at US-Bangla Airlines Ltd. starting in October 2021.

From 2006 to 2008, Zimmim attended European Standard School, Dhaka, where they completed their A Levels.
In the period of 2009 to 2011, Zimmim enrolled in Basair Aviation College to pursue an Advanced Diploma in Aviation, specializing in General Aviation.
In 2010, Zimmim attended UNSW and obtained a Frozen ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot License) with a focus on Aviation. This education at UNSW lasted until 2011.
Furthermore, Zimmim Ahmed has obtained additional certifications outside of their formal education. In 2009, they received an ICAO ELP Level 6 from the Civil Aviation Safety Authority. In 2019, Zimmim obtained an ATPL from the Korea Transportation Safety Authority. Finally, in 2020, Zimmim acquired a Class 1 Medical Certificate from the Aerospace Medical Association of Korea.
