Mugahid Khatib has a diverse work experience, starting in 2005 as an Engineer at BLL where they managed large infrastructure projects. Mugahid then moved on to Heskith & Wagner as an Architectural Engineer from 2009 to 2010. Mugahid joined Woods Hole Group, Inc. in 2010 as a Sustainability Engineer, focusing on LEED compliance and erosion control measures. In 2012, they joined Samsung C&T, Engineering & Construction Group as a LEED Manager, overseeing the environmental aspects of a project and implementing an Environmental Management Plan. Most recently, Mugahid worked at US-Eco Logic / TexEnergy Solutions as a Regional Projects Manager and later as a Project Manager.
Mugahid Khatib completed their bachelor's degree in Architecture at the University of Khartoum, where they studied from 1998 to 2003. In terms of additional certifications, Mugahid obtained the following:
1. IECC/HERS Compliance Specialist from the International Code Council in November 2019.
2. Building Commissioning Professional (BCxP) from ASHRAE in July 2021.
3. RESNET HERS Rater Badge from BadgeCert in March 2015.
4. LEED BD+C Accredited Professional from the U.S. Green Building Council in September 2009.
5. LEED for Homes Accredited Professional from the U.S. Green Building Council in January 2016.
6. LEED for Homes Green Rater from the U.S. Green Building Council in May 2015.
