Denise Mulholland is the Director of the Global Methane Initiative Secretariat and Lead of the International Methane Team at the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), where strategic leadership is provided for methane mitigation efforts aligned with UNFCCC climate change goals. With extensive experience at the EPA since 1995, Denise Mulholland has held various roles, including leading international methane reduction programs and managing the State Climate and Energy Program. Prior experience includes serving as Secretary for the UNECE Committee on Sustainable Energy, facilitating collaboration on clean energy initiatives, and conducting research for a Master's degree in Economics at the University of Calgary, focusing on international environmental biodiversity contracts. Denise Mulholland also holds a BA in Economics and International Relations from the University of Delaware and participated in a program at The American University centered on East-West European relations.
