Associate Director, International Environmental Impact Assessment Policy at US Environmental Protection Agency

Kimberley DePaul is an experienced environmental policy expert currently serving as the Associate Director for International Environmental Impact Assessment Policy at the Environmental Protection Agency since September 2011. In this role, Kimberley acts as the primary liaison with international environmental ministries and organizations, focusing on capacity building and governance improvement in Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA). Previous positions include Deputy Associate Director for NEPA Oversight at the Council on Environmental Quality, where Kimberley contributed to the oversight report on the Mineral Management Service’s NEPA policies in response to the Deepwater Horizon oil spill, and Deputy Director at the U.S. EPA, overseeing major environmental compliance programs. Kimberley's career also includes leadership in the Navy's environmental planning program. Academic qualifications include a Master’s degree in Marine Geochemistry from the University of Delaware and a Bachelor’s degree in Geology from the University of South Florida.
