Amy Nicholson is currently an Education Associate at the Virginia Living Museum and previously held the role of Education Fellow. Simultaneously, Amy serves as a Tour Guide for US Ghost Adventures and a Graduate Assistant at the Center for Coastal Resources Management, where responsibilities included significantly increasing social media engagement and managing data collection for a blue carbon stock assessment project. Previous experience includes serving as a Community Engagement Batten Fellow at the Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center and as a Conservation Educator at Niabi Zoo, where Amy designed educational curricula and mentored students. Additionally, Amy has held various roles in marine and environmental education, including as a Marine Science Education Intern at Project Oceanology and an Environmental Educator at Trap Pond State Park. Amy Nicholson holds dual Master's degrees in Marine Science from William & Mary and the Virginia Institute of Marine Science, and a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies and Theatre Arts from Augustana College.
