George Kotzias has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple industries and roles. George is currently the Director of Project Development at US Light Energy, a position they have held since June 2023. Prior to this, George founded Sherpitrv.com in September 2017 and served as its Founder. George also worked as a Founding Partner at Alethea Cleantech from 2008 onwards.
Before their current role, George was a Community Solar Sales Executive at Ampion, Inc. from 2015 to 2023. George also has experience as a Manager in Finance and Development at Altus Power America Management, LLC from July 2016 to December 2017. Furthermore, George worked as a Project Development Manager at SolarCity from March 2015 to July 2016.
Earlier in their career, they held positions such as Vice President Equity Research at Crédit Agricole CIB from August 2005 to October 2008, and as an Investment Banking Associate at Putnam Lovell NBF in 2004. In addition, they worked as a Senior Derivatives Analyst at Hess Corporation from 1997 to 1999, and as a Junior Trader at AIG from 1996 to 1997.
George Kotzias received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Boston University between the years 1991 and 1995. Later, they pursued an MBA in Finance at the University of Rochester - Simon Business School from 2002 to 2004.
