Mackenzie Carter

Mackenzie Carter is the Director of Bi-lateral Engagements & Exercises at the Office of Defense Cooperation (ODC), US Embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia. A native of Bellingham, Washington, Carter enlisted in the United States Navy in January 1994 and served in various significant roles, including onboard the USS HOUSTON, USS VANDERGRIFT, and USS ABRAHAM LINCOLN. Carter earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering, Summa Cum Laude, from the University of New Mexico and later attended the Defense Language Institute, graduating as class honorman. Throughout their career, Carter received numerous accolades, including recognition as 7th Fleet Surface Warfare Officer of the Year in 2008.
