Matt Swartz

Matt Swartz serves as the Executive Director at the U.S. Fleet Forces Command since October 2017, overseeing a global organization of nearly 1,300 personnel and managing a $15 billion annual budget. With extensive experience in the U.S. Navy, prior roles include Deputy Commander for Naval Information Forces, where Swartz was responsible for information warfare and fleet C5ISR capabilities, and leadership positions at Fleet Cyber Command, where key initiatives such as the Cyber Awakening Task Force were developed. Swartz's earlier experience as Chief Information Officer for the U.S. Forest Service involved managing IT resources for over 40,000 users. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree from the University of Mary Washington and two Master of Science degrees from the University of Virginia and the National Defense University.
