Matt Wanamaker

Matt Wanamaker, AICP, PP, serves as the Planning & Urban Design Director at Pennoni since April 2020, overseeing all operations within the division, including various planning projects. Since August 2011, Matt has also held a position as a Civil Engineer Corps Officer in the US Navy Reserve, leading personnel in construction and infrastructure projects. Previously, Matt was the Senior Manager of Real Estate Development at Amtrak from March 2014 to March 2020, managing asset and space planning for corporate facilities. Additional experience includes roles as Principal Urban Designer at The RBA Group, Instructor at Rutgers University, Project Manager at Looney Ricks Kiss, Designer/Land Planner at Lessard Design Inc., and Staff Architect at Bignell Watkins Hasser Architects. Educational qualifications include an MBA in Strategic Leadership from the University of Delaware and a Master of Architecture in Urban Design from The Catholic University of America, along with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the same institution.
