Benjamin White

Benjamin White is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in lighting design and maritime operations. Currently serving as Captain at USCG Merchant Marine since April 2010, Benjamin also holds a long-term position as a Yacht Measurer with US SAILING and has been the Principal Lighting Consultant at WHITE LIGHT DESIGN, Inc. since 1997. With a strong foundation in theatrical lighting, Benjamin is a member of the United Scenic Artists Local 829 and possesses teaching experience as a Faculty Instructor at the International Academy of Design. Previous roles include Lighting Designer and Project Manager at Chicago Scenic Studios, Technical Director at Sarah Lawrence College, and Lighting Designer for the Theatre By The Sea. Benjamin holds a Bachelor of Arts from Rhode Island College and has an MFA candidacy from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
