Mikelle Benfield is currently working as the Climate Action Program Coordinator at US Water Alliance. Prior to this role, Mikelle has held positions such as Planning and Program Coordinator at the American Association of Geographers, Program Assistant at Healthy Parks Healthy Person, and Environmental Outreach and Communication Coordinator at Harpeth Conservancy. Mikelle has also served as a Program Manager at The Human Impacts Institute and as a Communications Intern at OutRight Action International. Mikelle holds a Master’s Degree in Geography of Environmental Risk and Human Security from the United Nations University - Institute for Environment and Human Security (UNU-EHS) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Geography from Penn State University.
