Matthew Frost

Matthew Frost has been working in the software engineering industry since 2017. In that year, they began as a Software Engineering Intern at Greenstage NZ, where they worked on the SolarQuant project developing and tuning TensorFlow Neural Network models, and developed a back-end in Java. Matthew also contributed to their open source platform by writing OSGI plugins to integrate with the IBM Weather Channel API. In 2018, they worked as a Software Engineer Intern at Serko Ltd., and also as a Software Engineer at Cobek Software, where they were tasked with replacing an existing attendance tracking / monitoring system to further increase the robustness and scalability of the service. Since 2019, they have been working at Us2.ai as a Director of Data Science and a Machine Learning Engineer.

Matthew Frost attended Avondale College before enrolling at The University of Auckland, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering - BE (Hons) in Software Engineering in 2020. Matthew also holds an NCEA Level 3 - Excellence Endorsed certification from NZQA.
