Jeffrey Sutherland

Jeffrey Sutherland is a highly experienced engineering professional with a robust background in hardware and software design. Currently serving as Senior Principal Engineer at USA Firmware, LLC since September 2014, Sutherland oversees hardware design efforts related to firmware. Additionally, Sutherland is the President of F.O.M. Systems LLC, providing embedded systems design and serving as the sales agent for Zuken CADSTAR PCB EDA tools in Ohio and western Pennsylvania. Previous roles include Consultant at TouchStar Technologies, where system architecture for handheld data collection computers was revamped, and Senior Engineer at Accelent Systems, focused on ARM Linux and WinCE development. Sutherland’s career began as Principal Engineer at Telxon, innovating power supply designs and early wireless communication systems. Educational credentials include a BFA in Telecommunications from Kent State University and credits towards Asian Studies from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
