Brent Lang

Director at USA Gymnastics

Based in the San Francisco area, Lang is president and CEO of Vocera Communications (NYSE: VCRA), where he has worked since 2001. Prior to joining Vocera, he was senior director of marketing for 3Com and a strategy consultant for Monitor Company. Lang serves on the Leadership Council for Positive Coaching Alliance. Lang won an Olympic gold medal for swimming in the 4×100 freestyle relay, as part of the U.S. team at the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul, Korea. He graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science in engineering and a Master of Business Administration from Stanford University Graduate School of Business.

Based in Indianapolis, USA Gymnastics is the national governing body for gymnastics in the United States, encompassing seven disciplines: women’s gymnastics, men’s gymnastics, trampoline and tumbling, rhythmic gymnastics, acrobatic gymnastics, gymnastics for all (aka group gymnastics) and, most recently, parkour.
