Lauryn Turner

Turner joined USA Gymnastics in March 2020, bringing more than 20 years of leadership experience in the sports industry. She most recently served as Vice President, Development for Varsity Brands where she led the cross-divisional growth initiative that spanned affiliate companies Herff Jones, BSN Sports, and Varsity Spirit. Turner also served as the organization’s National Director, Development, Sales and Operations where she oversaw business growth in the event and apparel sectors. In this role, Turner worked with a network of gyms across the country to provide competition and business-strategy support as well as essential educational resources. Throughout her career, Turner has garnered extensive experience in the areas of strategic planning and development and as a catalyst for positive change through collaboration and analytical business management.

Based in Indianapolis, USA Gymnastics is the national governing body for gymnastics in the United States, encompassing seven disciplines: women’s gymnastics, men’s gymnastics, trampoline and tumbling, rhythmic gymnastics, acrobatic gymnastics, gymnastics for all (aka group gymnastics) and, most recently, parkour. USA Gymnastics sets the rules and policies that govern the sport of gymnastics, including selecting and training the U.S. Gymnastics Teams for the Olympics and World Championships; promoting and developing gymnastics on the grassroots and national levels, as well as a safe, empowered and positive training environment; and serving as a resource and educational center for the more than 200,000 members, clubs, fans and gymnasts throughout the United States.
