Brody Burns has extensive experience in the field of karate, currently serving as the Director of Sport, Administrative Head Coach, and Head Kumite Coach for USA Karate (USA-NKF) since July 2006, where responsibilities include coordinating Kumite training and coaching athletes on the US National Karate Team. In addition, Brody has owned the Academy of Classical Karate since January 1996, an institution in Plano, TX, that offers Wado Karate instruction and has a proven track record of developing champions. Brody holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Criminal Justice/Police Science from Sam Houston State University, earned between 1991 and 1995.
