Jacque Scaramella, MS, RD, CSSD, currently serves as a Sports Dietitian for UC San Diego Athletics since October 2022. With extensive experience in sports nutrition, Scaramella has been the Sports Dietitian for USA Rugby 7s and USA Archery since January 2017, and for USA Sitting Volleyball since April 2015. Additionally, Scaramella provided expertise to USA Para Ice Hockey from October 2015 to December 2023 and worked as a contractor for the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee from June 2014 to December 2021. As Board Treasurer for Professionals in Nutrition for Exercise and Sports, Inc., and through roles as a Sports Performance Dietitian and Sports Nutrition Lecturer, Scaramella has contributed significantly to the field of sports nutrition. Educationally, Scaramella holds a Master's of Science in Nutritional Science from California State University, Long Beach, and a Bachelor's of Arts in Sports Management and Administration from Loras College.

Established in 1975, USA Rugby is the governing body for the sport of rugby in the United States and a Full Sport Member of the United States Olympic Committee. Currently headquartered in Glendale, Colorado, USA Rugby is charged with developing the game on all levels and has more than 100,000 active members across the Youth, High School, College and Senior Club level. USA Rugby oversees four senior national teams, multiple junior national development programs and an emerging Olympic development pathway for elite athletes.
