Sue Whitwell has extensive experience in coaching and development within the realm of rugby and special education. Currently serving as the Collegiate All American Head Coach for USA Rugby since January 2015, Sue works to identify and nurture elite rugby talent in collaboration with Women's National Team Age Grade Programs. Prior to this role, Sue held the position of Varsity Women’s Rugby Coach at Harvard University from August 2013 to April 2016, where efforts were made to elevate the team from club level to NCAA Varsity status. Sue’s earlier career includes roles at Misericordia Heart of Mercy as an Assistant Administrator/Development Officer and a Developmental Training Instructor, focusing on creating employment opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities. Additionally, Sue's experience includes serving as a Special Education Teaching Assistant at St Pius School. Sue holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Metal and Jewelry Arts from the University of Illinois - Champaign/Urbana.

Currently headquartered in Glendale, Colorado, USA Rugby is charged with developing the game on all levels and has more than 100,000 active members across the Youth, High School, College and Senior Club level. USA Rugby oversees four senior national teams, multiple junior national development programs and an emerging Olympic development pathway for elite athletes.
