Previously, Kayla held the role of Enterprise Education Reporter, covering K-12 and higher education across the U.S. Experience includes reporting on education issues at The Mercury News and Voice of San Diego, where impactful investigative work led to policy changes and received multiple awards. Kayla's early career featured roles in social media management and engagement across various organizations, underscoring a strong foundation in digital content creation and community interaction.
