Anne Sharkey

USAT Level 1 Certified Coach at USA Triathlon

Anne Sharkey has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Anne began their career as a Research Assistant at Children's Mercy Hospital in 2001 and later transitioned to roles in the food industry, working as a Food Technologist at Associated Wholesale Grocers from 2003 to 2008. Anne then took on a managerial position at Corbion, where they served as the Manager of Product Documentation from 2008 to 2016.

In 2016, Anne shifted their focus towards the endurance sports industry, co-owning and managing two businesses. First, they co-founded and was a Co-Owner of Endurance House Kansas City, a retail store catering to various athletic needs and fostering a healthy community. Simultaneously, they also co-owned Playtri Kansas City, which specialized in coaching and providing services for triathlon enthusiasts. Anne held these roles until 2023.

Anne continued their career in coaching by joining USA Triathlon in 2017 as a USAT Level 1 Certified Coach. Anne then moved on to U.S. Masters Swimming in 2021, where they worked as a USMS Level 1 Certified Coach. Most recently, in 2023, they joined 80/20 Endurance as a Coach.

Anne Sharkey attended Boiling Springs High School from 1984 to 1988. Following their high school graduation, they enrolled in Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania from 1988 to 1990, although no specific degree or field of study was mentioned. Anne then transferred to Hood College, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from 1990 to 1992.
