USA Water Polo
Alex Ellison serves as Communications Coordinator for USA Water Polo since February 2022, responsible for writing content, managing social media for national teams, and covering events across multiple states. Previous experience includes roles such as USGA P.J. Boatwright Intern with the Colorado Golf Association and Social Media Intern with Positive Coaching Alliance, showcasing proficiency in tournament operations and social media strategy. Additional positions include guest service roles with the Golden State Warriors and various internships focusing on media relations, community engagement, and sports event execution. Alex holds a Master's degree in Sport Management from the University of San Francisco and a Bachelor's degree in Communication from San Diego State University.
USA Water Polo
USA Water Polo, Inc. is the national governing body for water polo in America, overseeing our United States Olympic program as well as 20 different championship events annually, such as Junior Olympics and Masters Championships. With more than 50,000 members, USAWP is also the sanctioning authority for more than 400 tournaments nationwide. USAWP is committed to the development of the sport nationwide. It fosters grass-roots expansion of the sport, providing a national system of affiliated clubs, certified coaches and officials. Mission Statement: The Mission of USA Water Polo shall be to grow the sport of water polo throughout the United States and win gold medals in Olympic, World Championship, and Pan American Games. Goals: Win gold medals in the sport of water polo at the Summer Olympic Games, Pan American Games, Federation Internationale de Natation ("FINA") World Championships, and other international competitions.
