Bruce Watson

Bruce Watson currently serves as Associate General Counsel for Intellectual Property at USAA since December 2022. Previously, Bruce held the position of Patent Attorney at Virtual IP Law, focusing on intellectual property counseling and patent application preparation. Bruce has an extensive background in intellectual property law, having worked as Associate General Counsel for Electrolux North America and Intellectual Property Counsel at Corning Incorporated. Notable prior roles include Senior Corporate Intellectual Property Counsel at Maytag Corporation, Senior Patent Attorney at Xerox and The Hoover Company, and Associate Attorney at Davis, Bujold and Streck. Bruce began a career in intellectual property as a Patent Examiner at the United States Patent & Trademark Office. Educational credentials include a Juris Doctor from UNH Franklin Pierce School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Syracuse University.
