Daniel Saunders

Daniel Saunders is a seasoned risk management executive currently serving as the Head of Model Risk Management at USAA, where they oversee the MRM program and the Model Risk Committee. Previously, they held substantial roles at USAA, including Executive Director of Model Validation and Director of Model Validation, contributing to the development of qualitative model risk management frameworks and maintaining validation standards. Daniel has also worked as a lecturer at California State University, Channel Islands, and as a research associate at UC Santa Barbara, while earning a PhD in Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
