Geoffrey Ryan

Geoffrey Ryan is an experienced attorney specializing in corporate governance and regulatory compliance within the financial services sector. Currently serving as Attorney Principal for Board Governance at USAA since March 2020, Geoffrey provides legal counsel to the Boards of Directors of USAA and its affiliated banks, ensuring adherence to governance best practices and regulatory requirements. Prior to this role, Geoffrey held positions at TD Bank, N.A., as Vice President and Senior Counsel, and at several law firms, including Nutter McClennen & Fish LLP and Patton Boggs LLP, where expertise in securities law, corporate transactions, and bank regulation was developed. Geoffrey obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Cornell University and a Juris Doctor with Honors from The George Washington University Law School.
