Jason Lawson is an experienced software engineer and cybersecurity expert currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at USAA since July 2013, where responsibilities include leading the implementation of the Visa Cloud Token Framework and overseeing the Mobile Pay roadmap. In addition to professional roles, Lawson volunteers with the Alamo Area Search and Rescue and Texas State Aquarium while previously serving as a Public Safety Diver with the South Hays Fire Department. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force Reserve, Lawson held various leadership positions focusing on Cyber Tactical Operations, including leading teams in offensive cyberspace operations and training defensive cyberspace operators. Academically, Lawson holds multiple degrees, including a Master’s in Computer Engineering from the U.S. Air Force Institute of Technology and is currently pursuing a Software Architecture Professional Certificate at Carnegie Mellon University.
