Jim Thomas

Jim Thomas is a communications professional with over thirty years of experience, including strategic communications planning, corporate messaging, and public relations. They have held significant roles at USAA as Executive Director, leading internal and external communications for the CEO and managing Board of Director communications. Prior to their role at USAA, Jim served as Director of Communication at Verizon, enhancing strategic communications across business units. Jim began their career at Sperry Univac and Contel, where they developed skills in college relations, recruiting, and public affairs. They earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from George Mason University.
