John Lombard

John Lombard is the Director of Enterprise Data Science at USAA, where they lead a high-impact modeling and simulation team focused on delivering innovative ML/AI solutions. John has previously worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Cornell University's Laboratory of Atomic and Solid State Physics and served as an Independent Researcher and Lecturer at the University of Washington. They hold a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor of Arts in Physics and Mathematics, both from Cornell University, in addition to a PhD in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics from the University of Washington. Their technical expertise includes stochastic optimization and combinatorial network algorithms, contributing to multiple patents and protected IP.
