Michele Herring

Michele Herring, CPA, MBA, CUERME, CUCE, has held significant leadership roles in financial management and risk assessment. As Vice President of Accounting at InvesTex Credit Union from January 2014 to March 2015, Michele organized a high-performing accounting team and ensured accurate financial reporting while providing comprehensive training for successors. From March 2015 to December 2017, Michele served as Enterprise Risk Manager at RBFCU, effectively launching and governing the Enterprise Risk Management program, which fostered a culture of risk awareness. At USAA, Michele held the positions of Senior Risk Analyst and Lead ICFR Risk Management Analyst from August 2018 to August 2021, overseeing accounting and internal control programs, delivering operational challenges, and recommending improvements for efficiency in financial reporting. Michele holds an MBA in Finance and a BA in Accounting from California State University, Long Beach, and University of Houston-Downtown, respectively.
