Ryan Poynter

Ryan Poynter, CPA, has extensive experience in tax advisory and analysis roles, currently serving as a Senior Tax Advisor at USAA since June 2017, after progressing from a Tax Analyst position. Prior experience includes a tenure at Grant Thornton LLP from June 2014 to June 2017, where Ryan held roles as State and Local Income & Franchise Senior Associate and Tax Associate, as well as a brief internship at Grant Thornton in early 2013. Ryan's early career began at Deatherage Pool Service as a Coordinating Manager from March 2011 to February 2013, overseeing pool cleaning services and client relationships. Educational qualifications include a Master's in Science of Accounting from Texas Tech University's Rawls College of Business and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Texas Tech University.
