Nancy Lundebjerg has had a diverse work experience in the nonprofit and healthcare sectors. Nancy currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the American Geriatrics Society (AGS) since 1998, where they lead the organization in advancing its mission and goals. In addition, they also fulfill the role of the lead staff person for the Association of Directors of Geriatric Academic Programs (ADGAP) and for the AGS Health in Aging Foundation.

Prior to their role at AGS, Nancy worked as an Independent Consultant, providing writing and program management services to various clients. Notably, they managed the Geriatrics-for-Specialists Initiative for the American Geriatrics Society and developed policies and procedures for a proposed Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine at New York-Presbyterian Hospital.

Earlier in their career, Nancy served as a Center Administrator for the Center for the Study of Society and Medicine at Columbia University's College of Physicians & Surgeons. In this role, they were responsible for administrative and programmatic support, budgeting, grant development, and human resources oversight.

Throughout their career, Nancy Lundebjerg has demonstrated a commitment to promoting the well-being and care of older adults, bringing their expertise and leadership to various organizations and initiatives.

Nancy Lundebjerg pursued their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in English Literature at Connecticut College from 1977 to 1981. Later, in 1985-1986, they attended the University of Hartford, where they obtained a Master of Public Administration (M.P.A.) degree with a focus on Public Administration.
