Manufacturing Lead And Mechanical Design Engineer For Turbopump Hardware at USC Liquid Propulsion Laboratory (LPL)

Charles Naff-Rhymer is a Manufacturing Lead and Mechanical Design Engineer specializing in turbopump hardware at the USC Liquid Propulsion Laboratory since August 2024. With extensive experience at Northrop Grumman, Charles served as the UGV Chief Engineer and Mechanical Lead, overseeing CAD design and stress analysis, as well as managing a team for payload development. Previous roles include contributions to the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory as a Spacecraft Mechatronics Engineer for the Mars Sample Return project, and involvement at NASA Glenn Research Center as a Hybrid Electric Propulsion Mechanical Engineer. Education includes a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering and Engineering Management from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona.

Our teams span across feed systems, data acquisition, engines, and all other aspects of designing, testing, and operating liquid rocket engines.
