Mauria Atzil, LMSW, is an experienced professional in child and youth protection, currently overseeing international initiatives at USCJ since January 2023, which includes handling allegations, policy formulation, and staff training for youth groups across North America and Israel. As a board member at the Texas Fair Defense Project since March 2020 and previously managing HUD grants exceeding $2 million at Opportunity Home San Antonio, Mauria has a strong background in program policy development. Additional experience includes ensuring compliance with disability regulations at Communities United, Inc., and managing creative programming for individuals on the autism spectrum at Voice Colors, Inc. Mauria began a career in social services following service as a soldier in the Israel Defense Forces and holds a master's degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Houston and a BA from Brandeis University in Psychology, Education, Public Health, and Expressive Therapy.
