USD 265 - Goddard Public Schools
Shelly Sanders is an experienced elementary school teacher with a background spanning over 29 years in various teaching roles within the Goddard Public Schools and Wichita Public Schools. Currently serving as a 4th grade teacher at USD 265 since May 2020, Shelly has also taught grades K-4, including all-day and 1/2-day Kindergarten, and 1st and 2nd grade in previous positions. Shelly is noted for creating hands-on curricula, effective classroom management strategies, and adapting lessons to real-world events while meeting the diverse needs of students. Educational achievements include a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Friends University and a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Wichita State University. Recognition includes awards such as the USD 259 Good Apple and Papa John’s Golden Apple.
