William Frerking has extensive work experience in various leadership and legal roles. William started their career in 1996 with Koch Industries and its subsidiaries, where they served in roles such as VP/GC Legal, Sustainability, Compliance, and Government Affairs. In these positions, they developed and implemented compliance programs and improved EH&S practices across the company and its subsidiaries. William also served as an Assistant General Counsel, Environmental, leading a team responsible for global environmental compliance.

In 2002, Frerking joined Flint Hills Resources as an Assistant General Counsel, where they focused on ensuring environmental, health, and safety compliance for the petrochemical businesses of Koch Industries. William played a key role in negotiating a voluntary consent decree that led to significant emission reductions in the refinery industry.

Frerking then moved to Koch Cellulose LLC in 2004 as VP, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary. William played a vital role in transitioning the global merchant pulp business from Georgia-Pacific to Koch Industries and was responsible for legal matters, EH&S and commercial compliance, and government and public affairs.

In 2006, Frerking joined Georgia-Pacific LLC as VP, Chief Sustainability Officer, where they built a sustainability capability that made sustainability a competitive advantage for the company. William also served as Chief Counsel, Building Products, leading a team responsible for all legal matters for the Building Products division.

Their most recent role was at USD Group LLC, where they served as the Chief Administrative Officer and Vice President, Sustainability and EH&S. In this position, they led administrative and capability functions, including EHS management and compliance, security, IT, insurance and risk management, government and community affairs, and corporate culture and sustainability.

Throughout their career, Frerking has demonstrated strong leadership, strategic vision, and the ability to drive performance and create value in various organizations.

William Frerking completed their Juris Doctor degree at the University of Missouri-Columbia, School of Law. William also obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in business and public administration from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Additionally, William Frerking pursued further education in Law, earning a JD degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia, School of Law.
