Pete Warden has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over two decades. Pete is currently the Chief Executive Officer at Useful Sensors Inc. Since joining in 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Google from 2014 to 2022 as a Staff Research Engineer.
In 2011, Pete founded Jetpac, where they raised funding, built a technical team, and developed a unique data product analyzing millions of photos from Instagram to create comprehensive city guides. Pete also created an image processing algorithm for mustache detection and received feedback on their data science work from Jenna Bush Hager on the Today Show. Pete's tenure at Jetpac ended in 2014.
Before founding Jetpac, Pete worked at O'Reilly Media as an Author from 2010 to 2012. During this time, they wrote two well-received books and contributed to the Radar O'Reilly blog, focusing on data, open-source tools, and privacy.

Pete also founded PetesPlugins in 2003, where they developed image processing filters sold to Apple, integrating them into their image products.
At Visual Sciences, Pete worked as a Graphics Engineer from 1997 to 2001, contributing to the field of computer graphics.
