Cecile L. is a Development Associate at USGBC California since October 2023, previously holding a position as a Tree People Associate at TreePeople from February to December 2020. Earlier experience includes serving as a Research Assistant at David Garfield Law Group in May 2018 and an Education Intern at the Anti-Defamation League in the summer of 2017, where assistance was provided to strengthen diversity and anti-bullying education initiatives. Additionally, Cecile worked as a Salesperson at Follett Higher Education Group from August 2016 to May 2017, focusing on customer service and inventory management. Cecile holds a Bachelor's degree in Religious Studies and Art History from Smith College (2015-2019) and a Certificate of Sustainability with a specialization in Sustainable Business and Management from UCLA Extension. Education also includes completing high school at The Buckley School (2009-2015).

Our vision is for the Southern California region to become a recognized national leader in sustainable development and building operations benefiting the economy, society, and the environment. Our initiatives embody action, education, and engagement. We collaboratively and inclusively engage our local communities to improve the sustainability of our region through our initiatives. USGBC-LA is a 501c(3) nonprofit organization. Our members are a diverse group of stakeholders in building & urban design, construction, and operations.
